Julius Baer said on 30 May it has made three "important new hires" at its branch in Basel as part of continued expansion plans for Switzerland.
Already on 1 May 2023, Gabriele Klass has joined the bank as a relationship manager; on 1 June 2023, André Giehl will take over as head of a local HNWI relationship manager team, and on 1 August 2023, Salvatore Cuppuleri will also start as a relationship manager in Basel.
Klass brings more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry. She joins Julius Baer from Basler Kantonalbank, where she had worked for the past four years in private banking as a relationship manager for UHNWI and corporate clients.
Prior to that, she held various positions at other financial institutions in Basel, including UBS, Credit Suisse, and Bank Safra Sarasin. Gabriele Klass holds a lic.iur. degree from the University of Basel and is a certified financial adviser.
André Giehl worked for Credit Suisse for around 13 years, mainly in Basel, including eleven years as a client adviser in Private Banking, primarily for UHNWI clients as well as for entrepreneurs and executives. Giehl is a certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA) of the Swiss Association of Quality.
Salvatore Cuppuleri has been in the financial industry for over 25 years. After five years in management positions at Raiffeisenbank Möhlin, he held various roles in Private Banking at Neue Aargauer Bank, including Deputy Head of Private Banking Fricktal from 2009 to 2020.
For the past two years, he had been a client advisor in Private Banking at Credit Suisse. Salvatore Cuppuleri has a federal diploma in financial planning.
