II: What will you be speaking to delegates about at the event?
AB: Capital International will be demonstrating how advisers and wealth managers can simplify the delivery of international investment solutions while maintaining the sophistication, flexibility, and high-quality outcomes that clients expect.
Offshore investing is often perceived as complex, costly, restrictive or only accessible to a limited segment of investors. Our session will illustrate how technology and modern international investment platforms are helping to break down these barriers, making global investing more accessible and efficient for both advisers and their clients.
Essentially, we'll explore how firms can streamline processes, reduce operational complexity and support sustainable growth by focusing on simplicity, scalability, and enhanced client experiences.
II: Why is the Lat Am region important to your business?
AB: Latin America is one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving wealth management markets in the world. In recent years, local advisers and investors have increasingly grown their assets under management through offshore investment platforms, as they seek greater international diversification, access to global investment opportunities, enhanced currency diversification and solutions that support cross-border wealth planning.
However, many of the traditional life company products available in the region have become increasingly limited and restrictive. Advisers are therefore seeking simpler, more flexible solutions that provide direct access to international markets, as well as the freedom and efficiency that a stockbroker-led investment platform can provide.
Capital International addresses this need through its international investment platform, enabling advisers' direct access to international markets and global investment capabilities.
II: What are your plans for 2026 into 2027 looking like?
AB: Our focus remains firmly on supporting the evolving needs of advisers and wealth managers across Latin America. Advisers are increasingly seeking straightforward access to international markets, greater flexibility than traditional product-led solutions can offer, and a trusted platform partner that can help them grow without adding unnecessary operational complexity.
Additionally, we continue to invest heavily in platform enhancements as well as supporting adviser education by assisting firms to streamline onboarding and administration processes.
Our objective is to become a long-term investment platform partner for Latin American advisers who want to move beyond restrictive legacy structures and offer clients a modern, flexible and efficient way to invest internationally.
II: What are the biggest challenges and opportunities in the region at the moment?
AB: One of the biggest challenges facing advisers is navigating rising client expectations. The Latin American investor market has become significantly more sophisticated and informed than ever before, with clients wanting access to global investment opportunities as well as seamless digital experiences.
Additionally, advisers continue to face barriers and restrictions that can complicate the delivery of providing the best solutions for their clients, such as limitations and restrictions associated with traditional life product providers.
Despite these challenges, the opportunities are significant. Capital International’s investment platform has the capability to break these barriers and restrictions, whilst enabling advisers the ability to improve operational efficiency and serve a larger client base without compromising on the quality of advice or client experience.
II: What is the biggest lesson you've learned from working with successful advisory firms?
AB: In the vast majority of cases, successful advisory firms are those that remain committed to delivering straightforward outcomes, who focus on the needs of their clients and who build trusted relationships with solutions focused on meeting their client’s objectives.
We aim to provide services that simplify; with our investment platform managing the complexity, the adviser can focus on building relationship with their clients.
II: What does the future of wealth management look like?
AB: The future of wealth management will be shaped by firms that successfully combine strong human relationships with efficient technology.
Technology will continue to transform the industry, with digital platforms and technology solutions taking on more of the administration and operational complexity, whilst advisers will increasingly focus on advice and client engagement.
At Capital International, we are committed to helping advisers build the businesses of the future by providing the technology, flexibility and global investment capabilities, ensuring simplicity, scalability, and a client-centric approach.
