CG Asset Management (CGAM), a boutique investment house focused on absolute return and inflation-linked sovereign bonds, will launch an Ireland-domiciled bond fund.

CG Portfolio Plc - UK Index-linked Bond fund will launch on 15 November and will be the firm's first fund launch in seven years.

The firm has a long track record of investing in index-linked bonds, with its first purchases of UK linkers in 1992 through Capital Gearing Trust.

CGAM manages £2.4bn in index-linked bonds across eight jurisdictions, including £500m in the UK.

Chris Clothier, co-CIO and co-manager on the fund, said: "We have been investing in UK index-linked for 30 years. We think that UK index-linked now offers a great opportunity and so we have decided to launch a dedicated fund."

He said the launch "reflects our belief that index-linked bonds are among the most attractively priced assets globally".

CGAM added that the formal announcement on 15 November will provide full details, including the fee structure.
