BDO Jersey continues appointments flow

The BDO Group in Jersey has announced the promotion of Almeri Szulc as Group finance director, following other appointments previously announced in July and June.

Almeri has been at BDO in Jersey for the past seven years, and the Group stated that the appointement "reflects BDO Group's continued growth and its commitment to deliver integrated business and professional services to organisations operating within the Island and overseas."

Clare Treharne, Group chief financial officer at BDO in Jersey, said: "Supported by our wider multi-disciplinary Group capability spanning accounting, tax, advisory, technology and training services, Almeri will provide financial and strategic insight to client facing practice leads to allow informed decision making for financial success."

This follows the apointment in July of Mark Sanchez and Barry Cameron, as senior managers in the Business Services and Outsourcing and Transformation and Change Teams respectively.

Sanchez will be responsible for the efficient management of BDO's Business Services and Outsourcing client portfolio. He will also be involved in the implementation of the firm's risk management policies and procedures.

Cameron will support BDO's clients "to put in place a sustainable and appropriately scaled process, governance, and capability within their team to the deliver on their strategic goals and commitments."

And in June, the BDO Group announced Allam Zia and Andrew Essa as directors and co-heads of the Group's Management Consulting capability. 

Zia rejoined the Group, having previously served as director of Transformation and Change, while Essa, as a former IT/corporate law barrister and solicitor, is a specialist in helping clients maximise value from digital and new technologies with experience across strategy development, technology evaluation and sourcing, M&A and due diligence, go-to-market strategy, organisational design, and implementation.
