Barclays Wealth asset allocation head Jean-Paul Jaegers departs after six years

Barclays Wealth asset allocation head Jean-Paul Jaegers has exited from the business after six years.

The news follows Barclays recently naming Sasha Wiggins as CEO of its private bank and wealth management division.

Jaegers said in a LinkedIn posting two days ago:  "The end of a chapter for me personally and professionally, as I recently had my last day in office at Barclays. It has been an absolute pleasure working with some amazing colleagues, leading a fantastic team and businesses, and getting the chance to see others develop and flourish in their careers.

"Over a period of nearly six years, I helped navigate multi asset funds and client portfolios through Brexit/Covid/(geo)political shocks where we stuck to a structured investment processes, in-house research discipline and investment philosophy, resulting in good outcomes. I am grateful to a talented and ambitious team, the support of senior management and I am immensely proud of what has been achieved.

"As for me, I am excited to embark on the next chapter of my career."
