Kelly Greig TEP, partner at Blick Rothenberg, has been re-elected as worldwide chair of STEP for a second term, effective 1 January 2025.

STEP is the global professional association for lawyers, accountants, trustees, and other practitioners who help families plan for their futures. With over 21,000 members worldwide, STEP’s mission is to inspire confidence in families as they plan their assets across generations.

Full STEP members like Kelly (pictured) are known as TEPs. They are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.

On being re-elected as chair, Kelly said: ’I am delighted to have been re-elected as worldwide Chair of STEP. It is a privilege to hold this position.

"This year has seen incredible work across our community to engage and inform stakeholders, both within and beyond STEP, on the crucial issues impacting our industry and society more broadly.

"I am proud of our strides in governance and inclusivity. Looking ahead, we aim to deepen member engagement, drive innovation and champion diversity. By listening to members’ needs and harnessing technology, we can navigate the challenges ahead while embracing the opportunities of a rapidly changing world."

STEP’s chief executive, Mark Walley, said: "We are excited that Kelly has been re-elected as our Worldwide Chair. She has already brought a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and experience to the role. We particularly value her commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion."

Kelly will continue to lead STEP’s board of directors, which is responsible for our high-level strategic direction. Board members have legal authority and responsibility for the organisation and are elected by and from members of our Worldwide Council.

In addition to re-electing Kelly as Chair, STEP has confirmed its two Deputy Chairs for 2025: Rod Luker TEP, a consultant at Hume Taylor & Co in Adelaide, Australia; and Paolo Panico TEP, a director of Private Trustees SA in Luxembourg, who was also re-elected from January 2025 as a Board member for a second three-year term.

The Board welcomes a new member from January 2025: James von Simson TEP, a wealth management partner at Evelyn Partners in London, UK. James is a Council member and a committee member on STEP’s England & Wales Regional Committee, EDI Committee and Professional Standards Committee.

James joins Kelly, Paolo, Rod and remaining Board members: Pamela Cross TEP, a tax partner at BLG in Ottawa, Canada; Tony Pitcher TEP, a consultant at Altum Group in Jersey; Michael Olesnicky TEP, a consultant at Baker McKenzie in Hong Kong; and Mark Walley, STEP’s chief executive.

STEP extends its thanks to Assad Abdullatiff TEP, managing director at Axis Fiduciary in Mauritius, who is retiring from the board at the end of his term. His contributions as both a board and council member have been invaluable.
