Freddie Neave, fund manager of Odey Asset Management's flagship hedge fund, is set to join Bainbridge Partners, bringing the firm's flagship hedge fund with him.

It will be relaunched under Bainbridge, a spokesperson for Odey Asset Management confirmed to Investment Week.

In August, Odey AM told investors that it was in "advanced talks" to transfer Neave, the portfolio manager of the Odey European fund and OEI MAC, formerly alongside Crispin Odey, to Landseer Asset Management.

However, these talks had fallen through after failing to complete the deal within the necessary timeframe, according to a report by Bloomberg

Bainbridge founder Antoine Haddad confirmed the move to Bloomberg and said the hedge funds will be re-launched at the firm.

"Bainbridge's quantitative and systematic know-how should merge well with Freddie's fundamental approach," he said.

Landseer AM declined to comment. Investment Week could not reach Bainbridge for comment.

Bainbridge Partners manages $1.3bn in assets across quantitative and fundamental strategies. In March 2023, the company acquired three alternative funds from GAM - GAM Opportunistic Credit, GAM Diversity and GAM Trading II - which, at the time, had combined assets of around $87m.
