Evelyn Partners hires responsible investment director

Evelyn Partners has hired Katrina Brown as director of responsible investment, joining the firm to focus on the incorporation of ESG into its investment process.

The wealth manager said it was working to reflect ESG priorities within its active ownership programme by encouraging companies to improve business practices.

Brown joined the firm after more than 20 years in the consulting industry with a focus on charities and pension funds, which helped her develop a specialism in responsible investment and climate change and TCFD assessments.

She started her career at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management, later Deutsche Asset Management, where she rose to director of global equities.

"She will assist with developing our commercial proposition as well as accelerating the integration of ESG investment risks and opportunities into the investment process."

Brown added: "It is very exciting to be part of a prestigious and well-regarded organisation that already has a good foundation in responsible investment.

"The prospect for developing Evelyn Partners capabilities is compelling and I look forward to working with my new colleagues in this important and dynamic area."
