Victoria Hasler, the head of fund research at EQ Investors, is set to leave the firm after less than three years.

Hasler, who began at EQ Investors in December 2020, previously worked for almost six years at Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research, and four years as a fund analyst at Brewin Dolphin. She began her career as an investment analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

A spokesperson said that following her departure, chief investment officer Kasim Zafar will expand his role to include overseeing EQ's research capabilities.

"Kasim will now lead the development of EQ's asset allocation approach and selection of fund managers," said the spokesperson, adding that the firm will be recruiting a fund analyst over the course of the next few months.

"We would like to thank Victoria for her valuable contribution to EQ Investors during a time of significant change in global markets and economies. We wish her all the very best for the future."
