Arjun Infrastructure Partners, the independent European infrastructure fund manager, has appointed Oleg Shamovsky as managing partner in a new senior leadership position.
This marks the latest expansion of the team, following several major appointments in recent months, including Misha Nahorny joining the London team in March, Chirag Goyanka joining in January and David Schad in February to strengthen Arjun’s fundraising capabilities in North America and Europe respectively.
In his new role, Shamovsky will collaborate closely with managing partner Surinder Toor to further strengthen the firm’s leadership. He will also play a pivotal role in Arjun’s fundraising efforts, driving the company’s next phase of growth and success.
Shamovsky brings a wealth of experience from leading global asset management firms, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), Partners Group and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP).
During his decade-long tenure at KKR, Shamovsky helped build KKR’s infrastructure investment business and headed the firm’s Core Infrastructure in Europe, underscoring his proven fundraising, investing and management capabilities.
Oleg Shamovsky, managing partner at Arjun, said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Arjun and working alongside Surinder. A key draw for me is the firm’s independence and its entrepreneurial, pure-play focus on real infrastructure. I look forward to continuing this ethos and contributing to Arjun’s continued growth and success.”
Surinder Toor, managing partner at Arjun, said: “Oleg is an industry heavyweight and a brilliant addition to our team. I’m looking forward to working with him to enhance our business and offering for investors as we pursue Arjun’s next stage of growth, having recently closed our largest fund to date and made a number of significant hires this year. Oleg is one of Europe’s top infrastructure managers, and we’re delighted that our unbridled focus on real infrastructure in the mid-market space continues to attract world-class talent.”
Arjun Infrastructure Partners has €5.7 bn in assets under management.
