Eastspring Investments, the $239bn asset management business of Prudential plc, today named Dominic Wong as regional head of intermediary sales, effective 23 August 2024.
Based in Hong Kong, Wong (pictured) will be responsible for leading and growing Eastspring’s intermediary business. He will report to chief distribution officer Salman Haider.
With more than 30 years’ experience in the asset management industry in Asia, he has successfully led regional distribution for some of the largest international investment firms.
He was most recently head of intermediary distribution, Asia ex-Japan, at BNY Mellon Investment Management, where he oversaw the firm’s intermediary business across Greater China and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, he was head of Northeast Asia intermediary business at Fidelity International, a role he held for more than a decade.
Wong also served as head of retail sales, Hong Kong, for BlackRock.
Haider said: “Accelerating the growth of our intermediary business is a key priority for Eastspring, Dominic’s extensive experience and deep relationships with intermediaries and wealth managers will be critical as we drive our efforts
across our distribution teams to position Eastspring as a solutions partner of choice for the intermediary channels in Asia.”
He holds an International MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
