Mediolanum International Funds Ltd (MIFL), the asset management business of the Mediolanum Banking Group, has appointed Mariagrazia Briganti as head of Marketing and Communications based in Dublin.
Relocating from Milan, Briganti will report to Luca Matassino, MIFL chief business officer, and will oversee the development and implentation of an integrated marketing and communictations strategy, particularly targeting key markets for MIFL including Italy, Spain and Germany.
Briganti previously was head of Marketing EMEA South for T.Rowe Price, and before that Morningstar where she held a number of key communications roles before becoming the senior marketing manager for EMEA South.
Luca Matassino said: "I am delighted to welcome Mariagrazia in our team in Dublin. Her extensive marketing and communications experience will be instrumental to driving forward innovative, tailored solutions for the markets we operate in. Mediolanum and its stakeholders will benefit from leveraging her knowledge and insights to elevate our communications strategies."

In June, MIFL announced the launch of three active multimanager funds, having earlier - in January - announced the appointment of a new head of multimanagement.
Italian banks were hit this week when the Italian government announced a windfall tax on profits driven by sharply rising interest rates over the past year. Bank shares rebounded in Milan today (9 August) following a rout yesterday (8 August), after the Italian government adjusted its policy.
