Liontrust's GF Pan-European Dynamic Fund has attracted more than €150m in assets under management from several European-based investors since being launched on 27 February 2024.
The daily dealing, Ireland-domiciled UCITS fund, managed by James Inglis-Jones and Samantha Gleave of the Cashflow Solution team, has been launched in response to client demand and with the fund managers having delivered a long track record in managing Pan-European equity strategies for segregated accounts.
The new Fund uses the same investment process that has been applied successfully to managing European equity strategies at Liontrust since 2006.
The long only Pan-European equity strategy has outperformed in different market environments and returned 409.5% from 30 June 2007 to 31 March 2024 against 100.2% by the MSCI Europe Index.
John Ions, chief executive officer of Liontrust, said: “We want to thank our clients for the confidence they have shown in our new Liontrust GF Pan-European Dynamic Fund. We were asked to launch the Fund to provide all investors with access to the strategy as it had previously only been available through segregated accounts.
“Raising more than €150 million is a great achievement and testament to the outstanding performance record of James and Samantha’s Pan-European equity strategy and to their distinct investment process.
“We are committed to expanding our fund offering across Europe and enhancing our support to clients in each country through developing our physical presence. Jeremy Roberts joined us in March as Head of Global Distribution ex-UK to drive this growth and client service.”
James Inglis-Jones said: “Europe was one of the best performing equity markets in 2023 and we believe the outlook for 2024 is equally positive. A combination of a technical uptrend, reasonable valuations and a lack of widespread evidence of corporate mal investment provides a supportive backdrop.”
Samantha Gleave added: “We believe the style leadership of the market is finely balanced. However, whichever direction the market takes, we are confident that our Cashflow Solution investment process will guide us to adjust our portfolios swiftly to suit the prevailing market environment.”
The fund’s investment process is based on the idea that cash flow is the most reliable guide to future profitability and stock price valuation.
The managers invest in companies which have strong cash flows and/or are attractively valued on cash flow and run by company managers committed to an intelligent use of their cash flow. Investments are based on a detailed analysis of company report and accounts.
