The Jersey Financial Services Commission will be shut on 15 July as the jurisdiction observes a public holiday linked to the visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

A statement on the FSC website says:

"The States of Jersey has declared Monday 15 July a public holiday on the island, to allow people to celebrate the visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Please be advised we will be closed on this day, reopening Tuesday 16 July."

The visit is the first to the jurisdiction by a reigning monarch since the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2005.

The following day, 16 July, will see the King and Queen visit Guernsey, where a public holiday has similarly been declared by the Committee for Economic Development - including Herm and Jethou.

There is no specific statement on the Guernsey FSC website, although as a public holiday it would be expected to remain closed on the day.
