Investec Wealth & Investment's chief investment officer Stacey Parrinder-Johnson will leave the company at the end of the year.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed to International Investment's sister brand Investment Week  Parrinder-Johnson stepped aside as CIO from 21 September 2023 and handed over her responsibilities to Liz Savage and Ed Smith, co-CIOs at Rathbones.

Parrinder-Johnson will work with them until the end of the year "to ensure a smooth transition for both businesses", following the merger of Investec W&I with Rathbones.

The spokesperson added: "Stacey began her career in Investec W&I's Leeds office as a trainee investment assistant. She built her extensive portfolio and research expertise before being appointed as our CIO in 2021. Stacey made a marked impact on the governance and development of Investec W&I's investment research office, as well as our focus on sustainability."

She spent the last 18 years at the company, joining in 2005 and holding roles including fund selection specialist and senior fund selection specialist before becoming CIO in August 2021.
