Odey Asset Management has confirmed the Odey Opportunity fund and its manager Geoffrey Marson have been transferred to Canaccord Genuity.

The company entered into talks with Canaccord in late July about the move.

In a notice on its website, Odey AM also confirmed James Hanbury and Jamie Grimston and their respective funds moved to Lancaster Investment Management, and that Oliver Kenton and his funds were transferred to SW Mitchell Capital.

The LF Odey Portfolio has closed, while the Odey Swan fund is in the process of closing, the asset manager added.

Former Odey AM subsidiary Brook Asset Management has also confirmed the Brook Global Emerging Markets fund had closed.

Canaccord Genuity was contacted for comment.

The news follows the closure of Odey Wealth Management - both its UK and Guernsey operations - alongside the transfer of Odey AM fund manager Freddie Neave and the company's flagship hedge fund to Bainbridge Partners.
