Nick White, a longstanding investment distribution specialist with over 25 years’ experience working with European asset managers, has launched Seafield Capital Partners (Seafield), a specialist investment sales and marketing consultancy.

With offices in London and Dublin, the company said on 18 April it is "poised to revolutionise the conventional fund distribution and marketing model across the fund industry by offering an innovative alternative to large-scale in-house operations".

Seafield establishes strategic, long-term partnerships with investment boutiques, accelerating their asset growth and brand footprint.

The firm has already onboarded three award-winning managers, Blue Diagonal Emerging Market Debt, Crossborder Kintore Systematic Gold Strategy & the Halo Asian Consumer fund, showcasing its commitment to high-quality, institutional-grade investment strategies.

Seafield offers an outsourced solution covering all aspects of asset expansion and brand development. At the heart of Seafield's mission is a cost-effective model that leverages cutting-edge technology combined with a robust distribution process, it said.

“Our goal is to rebalance the economics of fund distribution without compromising on service quality,” says Nick White, founding partner. ‘We believe in leveraging technology and a clearly defined, well-executed strategic approach rather than relying on large sales teams to meet our investors' goals.”

White has over 25 years’ experience working in the asset management industry. Starting his career with Invesco in Dublin, he moved to London in 2006 to join Martin Currie Investment Management.

In 2012, he moved to Carmignac to help establish their UK business where he held the role of Head of Discretionary Distribution and was latterly made a partner.

Most recently, he held the role of Head of UK & European Distribution at Nedgroup Investments before leaving to establish Seafield Capital Partners.

He has been instrumental in the development and launch of several innovative strategies, which have subsequently expanded into highly successful products with asset growth of over $1bn.

Seafield's approach is characterised by its Consultancy Suite, "a unique bespoke offering where asset manager partners can refine their distribution strategy, create new products to meet local market demands, establish their brand footprint, and strategically plan their client and asset expansion. Its in-house capabilities are complemented by a strategic advisory team that ensures comprehensive market insights and regulatory guidance".

Stuart Alexander, group CEO and founder of GemCap, said: “The industry has seen huge developments over recent years and the more routes to market for strong investment strategies, the better; it’s quite exciting to see the development of Seafield Capital.”

The company's early success and positive reception have sparked plans to expand its team and fund offering over the coming months.
