SUSI Partners has hired Sven Simonis as its new head client solutions and member of the leadership team.

He joins the firm from Credit Suisse Asset Management where he headed institutional client coverage efforts across the EMEA region and held a senior management position as Country Head Germany, SUSI said in a statement on 2 April.

Simonis will head SUSI’s Client Solutions team and oversee global distribution and client service efforts as a member of the leadership team. He has 24 years of experience in client-oriented roles in the financial services industry with a strong focus on supporting institutional clients in building out their private markets portfolios.

As a law graduate, Simonis moved into the financial services industry early in his career and over the course of 24 years held various client-oriented positions in asset management and banking, including at UBS, Credit Suisse, DWS, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley.

Most recently, he held senior leadership and client coverage positions in UBS’ and Credit Suisse’s asset management divisions.

Marco van Daele, CEO of SUSI Partners, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Sven to the team. With his outstanding track record in client-oriented roles, his deep knowledge of alternative asset classes including infrastructure, his extensive product structuring expertise, and his proactive and open-minded character, he is a perfect addition to the leadership team and will be instrumental in helping drive forward our growth plans over the coming years.”

Simonis added: “I am very excited to join such a dedicated and energetic team at SUSI Partners. I am convinced that as a highly specialised energy transition investment manager with a longstanding track record, we are perfectly positioned to serve the needs of an ever-growing client segment looking to benefit from the attractive risk-adjusted returns, portfolio diversification, and direct climate impact that private, mid-market energy transition infrastructure investments offer.”

SUSI Partners is an independent, Swiss-based investment manager with an exclusive focus on, and a proven track record across, private, mid-market investment opportunities arising from the global energy transition.

The firm currently manages €1.9bn on behalf of institutional investors, with more than 140 transactions in over 20 countries to date.
