Actuarial consultancy OAC (part of the Broadstone Group) has joined FinanceMalta, a public-private initiative set up to promote Malta as an International Financial Centre.

FinanceMalta achieves this with founding associations: the Malta Funds Industry Association, the College of Stockbrokers, the Malta Bankers Association, the Malta Insurance Association, the Association of Insurance Brokers, the Malta Insurance Management Association and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.

Alongside its corporate and affiliate members and staff, these stakeholders are committed to promoting Malta as a centre of excellence in financial services.

As a member of FinanceMalta, OAC will now be listed as a service provider on its Members Directory, be able to participate in international events and connect with key industry players.

OAC will also be able to demonstrate its strong and growing thought leadership profile by featuring in FinanceMalta’s podcast series, contributing to its newsletter and publishing articles on the digital portal.

The business already works with clients in Malta and, in addition to building strong links with the MFSA, joining FinanceMalta opens up new avenues to increase its presence in the country.

OAC offers insurance consulting across life and non-life, including Lloyds and London markets, in addition to actuarial redress, credit risk, financial modelling and data analytics services.

Darren Richards, chief executive at OAC, said: “We’re delighted to join FinanceMalta as we continue to expand our international client base into new territories. OAC has a compelling suite of services to help businesses across multiple sectors with their actuarial, financial modelling and data analytics’ needs.

“Business is growing rapidly in Malta thanks to advantageous underlying drivers and we look forward to capitalising on this gateway into the nation’s financial services community.”
